Groups:- The competition is divided into three groups Mens, Womens and Juniors (14 years to 18 years), and sub-divided into classes. Single entry in each class only. There needs to be a minimum of three entries in each Group/Class for a prize to be awarded.
Class A:-
Rifle:- Single shot in .22" Long Rifle. Weighing no more than 8kg for Men and 6.5kg for Women / Juniors.
Sights:- Any metal sights which may be adjustable, any colour. Orthoptics not allowed.
Trigger:- There is no minimum weight.
Class B:-
Rifle:- Any repeating rifle in .22" Long Rifle. As it came from the factory.
Sights:- Any metal sights which may be adjustable, any colour. Orthoptics not allowed.
Trigger:- There is no minimum weight.
Class C:-
Rifle:- Any repeating rifle in .22" Long Rifle. Which does not fall into class A or B.
Sights:- Any metal sights which may be adjustable, any colour. Orthoptics and bipods are allowed.
Trigger:- There is no minimum weight.
Position:- Prone, Kneeling and Standing
Targets:- 50m 2 Centres . Three per competitor.
Ammunition:- 30 rounds, to be supplied by the competitor.
Rules:- Club Small-Bore Rifle "Open" Rules apply.
Course of Fire:-
Practice 1
Prone unsupported (Except Class C) at 50m five rounds to be fired at each centre in five minutes, if there are more than five rounds on the same centre only the five highest scoring rounds will be counted.
Practice 2
Kneeling unsupported at 50m five rounds to be fired at each centre in five minutes, if there are more than five rounds on the same centre only the five highest scoring rounds will be counted.
Practice 3
Standing unsupported at 50m five rounds to be fired at each centre in five minutes, if there are more than five rounds on the same centre only the five highest scoring rounds will be counted.
Note:- Slings can be used in all classes and in the prone and kneeling positions only. Charging of magazines is to be done within the five minutes allowed for each Practice.
